To make a package capable of emitting light we have developed the following approaches:

SMD LEDs are fixed directly on the cardboard. LEDs are powered by a thin printed battery. The LEDs switch on when a person holds the box.

Purpose: Attractive light emitting box for premium products.

SaralOLED© Box

More Information

A printed OLED is integrated into a cardboard package. A sensor is printed on the back side of the package. The OLED lights up whenever the sensor is touched.

Purpose: Consumer engagement, attractive light emitting box for branded and premium products.

More Information

Printed illuminated display on foil or paper laminated on a cardboard. The display is powered by a tiny inverter circuit. The display switches on when the box is being opened.

Purpose: Attractive light emitting box for premium products. Consumer engagement and interaction.

Printed illuminated display on paper or plastic label. The displays are powered by a tiny podium, which includes an inverter, a circuit and a battery.

Purpose: Attractive light emitting label for glass bottles.

More Information

SMD LEDs are powered by an antenna (Energy Harvesting).

The LEDs switch on when the label is brought close to a NFC device e.g. smartphones or NFC readers. The label can be fixed on a glass bottle or on a cardboard box.

Purpose: Consumer attraction and engagement.

The label includes five illuminated displays that switch on one-after-another. The displays are powered by a podium, which includes an inverter, a circuit and a battery. Once the bottle is removed from the podium, the lights switch off. The illuminated display is printed on plastic or on paper.

Purpose: Attractive illuminated designs on bottle labels. Consumer interaction and attraction.
